Twyning STW Green Recovery Upgrade
Objective:
The objective is to enhance effluent quality and meet the new total phosphorus permit of 1.5mg/L by December 2027 in alignment with the Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP).

Scope of Works:
This project is designed to support long-term compliance, operational resilience, and environmental performance. The scope includes:
- 🧪 New Ferric Sulphate Dosing Plant
- 📊 New Final Effluent Monitoring System
- 🧫 New Laboratory Facilities for enhanced water quality testing
- ⚙️ Modifications to the existing MCC to improve control and reliability
Progress Update:
The enabling works phase is progressing well. Key activities over the past month have included:
- Completion of initial excavation works
- Installation of ducting and drawpits
- Site establishment and preparation for upcoming structural activities
Looking Ahead:
The team will soon begin works on the new chemical delivery area, including setting out, ground excavation, and formation preparation. The project remains on schedule, with construction activities set to ramp up in the coming weeks.
