🔍 Project Overview:
FLI Water, in partnership with Glasswell & Last (G&L), has been commissioned by Severn Trent Water to carry out a series of upgrades at Lichfield STW aimed at meeting WFD permit tightening and improving overall treatment efficiency.
Scope of Works:
- Construction of a new chemical dosing bund and chemical delivery area
- Installation of a new wet well and humus sludge return pumping station
- Construction of new ducting routes and duct boxes
- Excavation and installation of new sludge pipework
- MCC Kiosk fit-out and integration with civil infrastructure
Temporary access and site facilities
Latest Update:
- Chemical Dosing Bund: 2 of 3 pours now completed, with formwork being reset for the final section.
- Wet Well Construction: Base and two concrete rings completed, next two positioned and pour planned.
- Ducting: 62m installed following new design, with concrete capping in required areas.
- Sludge Pipework: Excavation ongoing, approx. 55m remaining.
- MCC Kiosk: Final fit-out by G&L nearing completion.
- Temporary Car Park: Fully completed and in use.
- Deliveries: Various stock items have been received on site.
This project highlights the importance of early coordination, flexible problem-solving, and collaborative delivery in complex live site environments.
