Deliver phased upgrades to meet compliance targets, Environment Agency (EA) regulations, and Water Framework Directive (WFD) performance standards.

🔍 Project Overview:
The Rampton STW upgrade is a strategically phased programme focused on process improvement, effluent quality enhancement, and regulatory compliance. Delivered in collaboration with Glasswell & Last (G&L), this project spans civil, mechanical, and electrical works that modernise the treatment plant while minimising disruption to live operations.
Scope of Works:
Phase 1: EA Compliance
- Site mobilisation and infrastructure setup
- New potable water system
- Ferric dosing rig and MCC installation
- Final effluent monitoring for phosphorus and iron compliance
- Laboratory conversion for chemical and MLSS testing
- Commissioning and 28-day maturation period
Phase 2: Inlet & Washwater
- New Huber inlet screen with MCERTS
- Washwater pumps and accumulation tank
- RAS pipework modifications
Phase 3: Process Enhancements
- Installation of flow inducers in oxidation ditch
- Aeration control upgrades
- New access platforms
Phase 4: FST Refurbishment
- Refurbishment of both FSTs
- New sludge blanket detectors and motor replacement
- Final outfall upgrades
Phase 5: Completion & Optimisation
- Laboratory construction completed
- Inlet and washwater mechanical installations
- New concrete roads and chamber structures
- Electrical systems (MCC, lab, inlet) installed
- Trace heating and pipe lagging completed
- Site-wide cleanup and removal of temporary works
