Objective:
To deliver the Shifnal WFD project, ensuring compliance with tightening regulatory permits under the Water Framework Directive.

Scope of Works:
- New primary settlement tank (PST) desludge pumps discharging to existing sludge holding tanks
- Nitrifying Submerged Aerated Filter (NSAF) effluent pipe modifications
- Tertiary Solids Removal (TSR) system including new pumping station and MCC
- Dirty backwash tank and associated pump station
- New chemical dosing plant
- Final effluent monitoring infrastructure
- Wash water pipework modifications and extension
- New on-site laboratory for enhanced process control
Project Progress & Impact
The project has now reached the handover stage, with all design, construction, and commissioning activities completed. Only minor snagging remains, and the majority of the site has already been successfully handed over to the client.
This site upgrade will play a key role in improving effluent quality and overall operational performance, supporting Severn Trent’s regulatory commitments.
