Objective:
Deliver key wastewater treatment upgrades to achieve tighter regulatory standards set under the Water Framework Directive (WFD)
Principal Contractor:

Scope of Works:
FLI Water was appointed to design, construct, and commission upgrades at Coaley STW. The aim is to improve phosphorus removal performance and meet tightened discharge permits.
Key project scope includes:
- New Ferric Dosing System and chemical delivery bund
- New Tertiary Solids Removal (TSR) feed pumping station
- Installation of TSR plant
- New Final Effluent (FE) interception chamber
- Cross-site ductwork and pipework installation
Progress Update:
- Successful tandem lift and placement of the new chemical dosing equipment
- Completion of the chemical bund area to house installed units
- Ongoing pipework installation linking the recirculation pumping station, TSR, and interception chamber
Looking Ahead:
The coming weeks will focus on advancing mechanical installations, completing ductwork, and progressing infrastructure around the dosing area.
