Phase 1 Scope: Meeting EA Compliance
The Rampton STW project is a multi-phase upgrade, with Phase 1 focusing on achieving Environment Agency compliance by enhancing site infrastructure, monitoring capabilities, and chemical dosing efficiency.
Key components of Phase 1 include:
✔️ Site mobilisation, including road access repairs, temporary construction accommodation, and site setup
✔️ New potable water supply to provide water to the chemical dosing rig and facilities building
✔️ Installation of a new Ferric Dosing rig for phosphorus and iron removal, including a new MCC & kiosk
✔️ Final effluent monitoring system to track compliance with new total phosphorus and iron permits
✔️ Laboratory conversion within the existing Amenity Building for chemical and MLSS testing
✔️ Standalone commissioning, reliability trials, and a 28-day maturation period
Phase 1 Progress & Impact
The project continues to progress through the civils stage, with ducting, pipe installations, slab work, and concrete road construction in development.
Despite challenges, the FLI Water team has remained committed to delivering high-quality, compliant solutions, ensuring Phase 1 remains on track to meet EA regulatory requirements.
Once complete, these upgrades will enhance effluent quality, improve process efficiency, and ensure long-term regulatory compliance at Rampton STW.
