Our Scope
The Bredon STW Green Recovery project is designed to meet a new total phosphorus permit of 1mg/L by December 2027, ensuring compliance with tightening environmental regulations while improving effluent treatment performance.
Key components of the project include:
✔️ New Ferric Sulphate Storage & Dosing plant for phosphorus removal
✔️ New Recirculation Pump Station with MCC & Isolation Penstock
✔️ New Biofilter Electric Drives for improved treatment efficiency
✔️ New laboratory facilities for enhanced water quality monitoring
✔️ Modifications to existing MCC for improved operational control
✔️ New Access Road & Bunded Chemical Delivery area to enhance site logistics and safety
Project Progress & Impact
The project is currently in the final stages of detailed design, with Gateway 4 approval expected in the coming weeks. Site mobilisation is scheduled for Q2, with construction and commissioning targeted for completion by the end of the year.
Once complete, Bredon STW will play a critical role in enhancing phosphorus removal, improving effluent quality, and supporting Severn Trent Water’s commitment to Green Recovery.
