Our Scope
The Coaley STW Green Recovery project is a key initiative designed to meet future phosphorus removal standards and enhance environmental performance under the Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP).
Scope includes:
✔️ New Ferric Sulphate Storage and Dosing Plant
✔️ New Tertiary Solids Removal (TSR) feed Pump Station
✔️ TSR Plant, including static mixers and flocculation tank
✔️ TSR Backwash Pump Station
✔️ New Motor Control Centre (MCC)
✔️ Extension to the site access road
✔️ Decommissioning and removal of the existing dosing plant
Project Progress & Impact
🚧 The project mobilised in late 2024, achieved Gate 4 in January, and has since completed enabling works.
👷 Civil construction is progressing both on and off-site, with the chemical bund precast sections manufactured at our FLI Precast factory.
🤝 FLI Water, FLI Precast, and Vertase FLI are working together to deliver this project — showcasing the strength and flexibility of the FLI Group as a sustainable solution provider.

Completion & Impact
The project is scheduled for completion by the end of the year, delivering critical environmental improvements and setting a benchmark for collaborative, sustainable delivery across the industry.
