Scope of Works

FLI Water was engaged to design, construct, and commission treatment upgrades at Waltham Sewage Treatment Works to support increased flow demand and meet stricter regulatory requirements.

Key elements of the project included:

  • Installation of a Ferric Dosing Unit to improve phosphorus removal and effluent quality
  • Construction and commissioning of a Flocculation Tank to enhance solids separation
  • Upgrade of the Tertiary Pumping Station to support improved treatment performance and operational resilience

Project Update

The project is now nearing its final stages, with all major treatment assets successfully constructed and commissioned.

 

These upgrades will allow Severn Trent Water to manage higher incoming flows resulting from a growing catchment area while achieving improved effluent performance in line with Environment Agency standards.

 

The installation of these systems will support long-term regulatory compliance and enhance the overall treatment efficiency of the site.
