Scope of Works:
FLI Water and G&L have been appointed to deliver essential infrastructure upgrades at Lichfield STW to meet tightening environmental regulations and support Severn Trent’s commitments.
Key project works include:
- Construction of new manholes and drainage for humus return gravity sewer collection
- New Humus Sludge Return Pumping Station
- Rising main from Sludge Transfer PS to PST Distribution Chamber
- Replacement of defective storm sewer section
- Installation of caustic soda dosing rig
- Final effluent monitoring systems
- Submersible sump pump and associated works
- Reed bed system: supply, install and commission
Progress Update:
The project has entered the construction phase, with foundation works underway across multiple areas including the MCC kiosk, wet well, and chemical dosing bund.
Due to existing services, some component locations were adjusted. The temporary staff car park is now complete, and stock items are being delivered to site in preparation for further mechanical installations.
Once complete, the project will significantly enhance treatment performance, process resilience, and regulatory compliance at Lichfield STW.
