Our Scope
FLI Water and Glasswell & Last (G&L) (Principal Contractor) has been engaged by Severn Trent Water Ltd to carry out modifications, install new plant, pipework etc to achieve the process success test requirements and to improve the quality of the effluent at Frampton STW to meet Water Framework Directive.
- Civil works and establishment of site welfare facilities delivered by our sister company Vertase FLI.
- Installation of a New Works Flow Split Chamber.
- Construction of New Vertical Flow Reedbeds, including a distribution chamber.
- Outfall chamber modifications to improve discharge quality.
- Electrical installation, site cabling, and integration.
- Implementation of trace heating and lagging for enhanced system protection.
Update
The project is currently going through final documentation and handover with Severn Trent, the key outputs were completed in the summer of 2024, at which time the plant met the success criteria for process performance testing.
FLI Water, in collaboration with Glasswell & Last (G&L) (Principal Contractor), was engaged by Severn Trent Water Ltd to carry out essential modifications at Frampton Sewage Treatment Works (STW).
The project aimed to achieve process success test requirements and enhance effluent quality in compliance with the Water Framework Directive.
The project involved a series of critical upgrades, including:
- Civil works and establishment of site welfare facilities.

Project Completion & Impact:
The final documentation and handover are currently underway with Severn Trent Water. The key project outputs were successfully completed in the summer of 2024, with the plant meeting process performance testing success criteria.
By delivering these improvements, FLIGL JV has played a key role in enhancing water quality, optimising plant efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance for Severn Trent Water.
